Bike and mountain bike adventure in the Ubaye Valley

As soon as spring arrives, the bike is King of the Alps. King of the prestigious passes such as Bonnette-Restefond, 2809 m high (4 times on the Tour de France), Allos, La Cayolle, Vars.

We offer a selection of rides and circuits. Cyclists will enjoy the challenge with the 7 passes of the Ubaye, including one of the highest roads in Europe at 2 802 m.

Jean-Michel BAYLE (Triple motocross World Champion, and “magician”of any motorized vehicle!), created for the enjoyment of tourists, a beautiful bike park located in the ski resort of Pra-Loup (with a total of 6 routes)

In Pra-Loup 1600 m, take the gondola Clappier, you will then have the choice between 3 levels of difficulties : Green (beginner), red ( intermediate) and black (advanced). Each route hoffers a net of bridges, rope bridges, banked and flat curves, loops, crossings and rollings, slope breaks and single tracks between the pine trees.

Each level of difficulty is different and enable the rider to make progress. The tracking with a difference of level of 300 m is educational but very technical also. The youngest have access to a junior route facing the trails.

You can rent different kinds of bikes and any special protective equipment in Pra-Loup. A free map is available at the Tourist Office. Come and try, it is only a few minutes away from the Rioclar campsite!
